Pictures

I never dreamed I would ever need to post this message but I guess I do. I recently found out that someone local has used one of my pictures that I took of a design I stitched on a shirt for my daughter and used it on her website as her own. I feel like this is very unfair and underhanded. If someone is interested in using one of my photo's of  the work I have done please ask permission first and then at least link back to my site. I am continually amazed at the liberties some people take with other people's property. Other than my own photo's I have only  used the digitizers photo's of the design I have bought, and posted them on the right side of my blog. I have given the names of the place I have bought my designs at the bottom of the page and if you click the picture most link back to the site where I bought it.
I will now step down from the soap box but please, please ask permission before you use my photo's.
Thank you!

  1. ohhhh...Rhonda. I know that is so infuriating! That's why for the most part I've started putting my name on most of the pics I post on my blog. You'll probably need to start doing that too. Not that I think my pictures are any better than anyone else’s, but they are my photos and I don't want anyone else taking the credit for them. And your appliqué work is awesome so I'm not surprised someone has done this. The gall some people have! Hope the rest of your day goes better!

  2. Thanks Kristen, Yes I am going to start atleast adding my website to all of my pictures.
The thing that upsets me the most is that this is a local lady! If she lived somewhere else it would be irritating but not infuriating! I hate the idea of my daughter wearing her shirt out and people thinking "Oh, so and so made that shirt." when it was one of mine. But oh well what can you do. We all have to deal with dishonest people I guess!

  3. It blows my mind the liberties individuals will take with other peoples properties...especially all your hard work. To think they could pass it off as their own and take credit for it...completely NOT RIGHT. It's really sad the level some people will stoop to.
