This is the little Indian boy I put on a shirt for Zane's Thanksgiving Feast...they are acting the part of the Indian's so of course I had to make him a shirt to go with the theme. :)

Lauren's initial on a sweatshirt. I thought it would be a simple enough design to go with anything. I love these fabrics!

Ok, I am absolutely addicted to Owls lately! I found these on Applique Chic, and fell in love! I bought the little pink corduroy pants at Target and added a ruffle to match the owl. I have to say adding a ruffle to existing pants is so much quicker than making them from scratch!

Zane's dog patch, I added a zigzag stitch to the dog to give it a different look than the satin stitch. I like the way it turned out! (as you may notice also, Zane's name isn't showing up on his more recent shirts! I have a stack of Zane shirts I am having a hard time getting rid of.)

These are shirts I made for Lauren to match existing pants. I made her the pink and brown minky pants a few months ago and it is just now getting cold enough for her to wear them so I figured I better get her shirts to match asap. :)

These little cowboy shirts are for 4 siblings who love everything cowboy. I can't wait to see pictures of these being modeled by their new owners!

I bought these shorts from Wal-mart and made shirts to match. These are reverse appliqué fonts. Super cute!

These little shorts I bought recently and made these little shirts to match.

I bought two pair of these shorts from Wal-mart for $3.50 a piece and the shirt for $3 and cut up one of the pairs of shorts to use as the appliqué. Pretty cute for under $10.

Zane picked out the shark, he thinks it is pretty cool. Great design for a little bigger boy!

This is a spring outfit I made for Lauren. I bought these fabrics a few weeks ago because I loved the colors. So today I decided it was time to do something for my kiddo's again and I pulled it out. This fabric makes me happy. :)

After I had finished the outfit..(this is actually shirt # 2, shirt #1 turned out to be too big so I made another that more than likely will only fit her through this spring... :( ) I decided it needed something more and did a search for fabric flowers. I found this blog with instructions. I love how it turned out. I glued it to a barrette so she will wear it in her hair. Although it would look cute as a pin or on a headband.

I never dreamed I would ever need to post this message but I guess I do. I recently found out that someone local has used one of my pictures that I took of a design I stitched on a shirt for my daughter and used it on her website as her own. I feel like this is very unfair and underhanded. If someone is interested in using one of my photo's of the work I have done please ask permission first and then at least link back to my site. I am continually amazed at the liberties some people take with other people's property. Other than my own photo's I have only used the digitizers photo's of the design I have bought, and posted them on the right side of my blog. I have given the names of the place I have bought my designs at the bottom of the page and if you click the picture most link back to the site where I bought it.
I will now step down from the soap box but please, please ask permission before you use my photo's.

Crayon rolls!

These little crayon rolls are so perfect. They are only 6 inches wide by 5 inches wide and hold 8 crayons. When rolled up they are only 2inx5in. They are the perfect size for carrying in your purse. I have always just thrown a few crayons in the pocket of my purse for the kids when we go to a restaurant, and they always seem to break or mark up my pocket. These little crayon rolls are a great way to solve that problem! And the personalization just makes them cuter!

Finally a little something for the moms. I have always felt like the moms weren't getting covered here, so I came up with a fun little set for the moms! This is a matching glasses case and tissue cover. The set is $25. How cute is this little onsie??!! I love this little frog and lily pad. The frog is on the front of the onsie while the lily pad is on the back of the onsie right on the rump.

I used my favorite materials on this name shirt. With the heart cut out in the letters it is Valentines-ie but could be worn for any occasion.Lauren wore this to school yesterday so it has been washed and dried but it does show how the 'ragging' looks 'raggier' after washing and drying.

This little dragon is the cutest thing ever! I used soft minky material for his body so he is soft and cuddly, perfect for a sweet cuddly little boy!I also put minky on this sharks tummy to make him a little cuddly too. Doesn't my little niece look adorable in the Birthday outfit I fixed for her! I wish I could have been there to help celebrate her first birthday....but her mommy was sweet and posted some pics for me to see!My School back home was the Rolla Bulldogs. My nieces and nephews go to that school now so it was fun to make them shirts for what I consider 'my school'. :)

Patchwork letters! A new Fave!

I have to say this cute patchwork applique alphabet is a new favorite of mine. You can do so much to make it cute and fresh each time! I love it!

Ok, after a year I am finally getting this little ballet slipper applique put on a shirt for Lauren... :) It did turn out cute....and Lauren even helped pick out the fabric.

Another shirt for Lauren but I have to say this little Yorkie Terrier is adorable. I used a furry material so it is sort of 3-D looking and it is super soft. Lauren is going to LOVE it! (BTW she picked out this design and material too...I think she is going to be a chip off the old block! :))

Applique Name shirts and other fun projects

Lauren has been wanting a 'Hello Kitty' shirt for a while and I finally had some time to do a few things for her. I added Lauren's first initial to the bow for a little individuality.

This is a project Lauren and I did over our winter break. These are tissue cases. They are really neat because this is the 'tissue' time of year and they keep your tissue package from getting destroyed in the bottom of your purse.

I bought the little pants (to the right) back in the fall and have been trying to figure out something interesting to do on the shirt....well as you can see the old faithful stand-by won out. I just embroidered her name in multicolors on the front of the shirt, it is cute and versitile.

I finally got a larger hoop so now I can do these adorable applique name shirts. Lauren's was the first one I did using my new hoop so it didn't turn out perfect but it is still cute I think. The top is a school spirit shirt. I think these will be a fun change to the typical school shirts.

I love this horse applique. Avery loves horses and even has a brown horse of her own. Isn't this a perfect shirt for her? I have added 'bling' to the name. I am loving the extra sparkle!Camryn plays the piano and the violin and loves music, so this shirt is great for her! (Of course I added bling to her name.:)

I love this little princess carriage. I added a little bling...diamonds to the tiara on top of the carriage and to the name, also on the wheels and door handles. A girl can never have to many diamonds right?

This is a cute little pirate ship. I removed the skull and added his name on the sail instead. I have to admit I am not a lover of skulls. ( I guess I am too girly or something!)

Adorable Birthday cake applique! I love these fabrics and have been waiting for the perfect design for them!I think I found it!I love these sock monkey's. I made these little pants and appliqued the sock monkey using a "sock monkey" sock. I have to say I love how they turned out!

This little apron is made to order for a little boy getting a tool set for X-mas. I think it is going to be pretty cute on the newest "Mr. Fix-it!"

One of my favorite new font's. It is a circle applique with a letter applique inside. It is so "simply cute" that it works for any age or gender of kid!

This is the Fall outfit I made for Lauren. I mixed a couple of different pumpkin designs to come up with this one I could use her initials with. I really like how it turned out!

This is the two sides to the reversible minky blanket. It is a great size to throw over the infant carrier and is very snuggley!

These are mostly baby gifts but I went ahead and threw in the horse face I made for Lauren too.

Sweet little bib great for those teething days, when all the cute outfits get wet from the drool, this little bib will just look like an accessory! :)

A new spin on the monogrammed cup. Well you know how much I like applique... so I appliqued the letter on the background for a new look! I also did designs on the kids cups. Turned out cute although you can't tell from the pic I took of them. The fun thing is you can make it very personalized by putting an applique of their favorite thing on their very own cup!

Here is a cupcake design I did months ago but I wanted to put up an example of different fabrics on the cupcake. These were appliqued on child sized aprons.

An update on prices and policies...

I have listed a new updated price list on the right side of the blog. I am having to raise some of my prices due to me not being able to cover my expenses with my old prices. I am sorry to have to do this but material and supplies are VERY expensive! I am also going to have to start charging a delivery fee on items I have to drive to you,(local customers), basically to cover gas.
So on all orders placed on or after August 8, 2009 the new prices are in effect. Please forgive me for this abrupt change but since I have only been doing this a year it has taken me a little time to get it all figured out! Thanks for bearing with me! Baby Gift Idea's

This is a reversible blanket, made from minky material, the brown with the initials is on one side while the blue with the monkey applique is on the other. I made matching burp cloths for each side. The burp cloths are minky on one side and cloth diaper on the other side.

This was a bought bag that I added ribbon to, appliqued and monogrammed for a customer.

Cuteness for the little girls!

This is a wrap-skirt I made for Lauren, it is reversible. I took this picture before we left for church so I didn't get the other side. It is in the other material on her flower applique that is on her shirt. Also note the matching headband on this outfit and the next. The pattern is really nice, it uses elastic so they stay in place great!

This is the ruffled capri's. I LOVE them! They are so cute, girly, and fun! ( I am sorry the color seems to look faded out in this pic but the material is very bright and colorful!)

Here is another outfit from the same pattern. The one thing I learned from trying out these two outfits is quality materials matter. The red and white polka dot material faded after just one washing. I prefer using the better quality (more expensive) material, but I will gladly make them to order.

Hey all! I hope your summer is going great and that the heat hasn't gotten you down! The heat index down here in the south has been hovering around 105*! I think this means it is a good time to be indoors sewing!
I am really excited about a newline I am working on. I am using the pattern from Sandy Henderson's Portabellopixie. I have a cute bag pattern. And I have been working on the pants from this pattern and I am going to be making these cute skirts and dresses.
I am looking forward to posting my creations! I am hoping to have them posted early next week.

Summery designs for appliques

I made these cute short outfits for a customer who has twins. I also made matching frog applique outfits for them but forgot to take pics. It was so much fun to come up with matching outfits that one was girly for a girl and the other more boyish for the boy.

I LOVE brown and pink together...and it is perfect for this icecream cone applique!

Hot pink and limegreen are always fun too! This is the ever popular flipflops with her name in curlz! How cute and fun!

Purse with plastic handles

This is a bag I made for myself before our recent trip. I used black and white polka-dot canvass with a hotpink monogram and cordinating material for the inside. I really like the size because I tend to fill up what ever size of purse I have. This one allows me to carry what I need but not get too much to make it too heavy.

To all of my local customers....I am cutting my work week down to 3 days a week through the summer. I need and want to spend some time with my kids over their summer break, time passes too quickly and I don't want to miss out! So, I am only going to take new orders on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Also because I am only going to be sewing on these days it will probably take me a little longer to get your items to you. This is a different hibiscus that I just bought. I like it because it is a one material applique, so it will be easy to incorporate a fun material.

This is a new applique font I just got. I think it will be adorable on kids items!

I have had this cupcake for a while but haven't had a reason to stitch it out yet...although I have an order to do 8 of them so I will be stitching it soon! I will post those photo's as soon as I get them!

I got this basketball recently because I thought it would be great for older boys. It is simple and can be made into any team or just left plain.

My daughter is in ballet and begged for me to get this pattern for her so I am pretty sure it is going to show up on a bag and a t-shirt soon... :)

Ok...there is only one word for this owl!!! ADORABLE!!!!!

I changed up the ever popular flipflops. I used red/black/white and added lady bug buttons and red/black polkadot ribbon. I also put her initails on the flipflops.

This crazy daisy is so bright, cool, and summery! It will look great with any # of bottoms and look adorable with each one! How fun is applique??!!!

I think this is one of my new "favorite" designs for boys! So much can be done with it! I love that it really can be done for any age, from a baby to a bigger boy.

This frog looks very much the same as the others but I did a different font on the name and I think it is so cool because the dots on the ends of each letter reminds me of Frog toes! ( ok use your imagination a little!)

I saw this material a few weeks ago and I loved it! I kept thinking 'I have to figure out a project for this material!' Well here it is...a simple purse/bag. It is simple with a long handle that you can either throw over your shoulder or over your neck.

Because the pattern is so busy I monogrammed a button so it could still be personalize without over doing it! I hope the intended recipient likes it!!!!

These were all ordered by the same customer, she wanted them to all be similar and the same color towels to match, (I think these girls(with matching towels) were going to be room-mates. )They will definitely have the cutest bathroom on campus!

This little truck was a special order. It turned out sooo cute. The pumpkins are appliqued which is so neat because you can do such fun stuff with it.

A nearby town has a Strawberry Festival every year and I am going to put these designs in the Craft fair put on just for Strawberry fest! Aren't they SWEET! A great big strawberry monogrammed!

Gifts for baby

These are all items brought to me to do as gifts for babies. The color didn't turn out great on this but it is in a lavender with her name embroidered in white. Very sweet and feminine!

Again my flash was to bright but it is a light lime green material applique with a light blue gray embroidered name.

Oh so soft burp cloth. This is completely minky. The name of course is embroidered.

This is cute little diaper cover is embroidered in a variegated thread. It is pink, light pink and white. Very sweet for that sweet little girl!

Another frog...I love this applique and it has been very popular. It is so versatile. It looks adorable for a boy or a girl.

These two sets of out fits are matching brother outfits. The bubble is for the baby and the older brother will wear the white t-shirt with shorts that match the baby's bubble.

This is a Birthday hat. Very cute for the Birthday boy!

I love this jumper pattern...as you can probably tell because it is so versitile. You can either use cute buttons to dress it up or ribbons in place of the buttons. One dress gives you multiple looks and it is so easy to wear! I love being able to use two cute fabrics on one dress. Unfortunately because of the bright colors and busy pattern of the material the monogramming didn't show up well but it is a very cute dress on it's own.

Unfortunately there aren't as many cute boy designs out there as there are girl designs. Therefor it is really exciting for me whenever I find a new "boy" design. This applique is perfect for a little boy or a little older boy. I haven't tried it with a longer name but it is adorable with a short name like Zane!

This is a new bag design I have been working on. It is a simple lightweight bag perfect for summer. I found the design on the Martha Stewart website and the instructions were to use a pillowcase. I like to have a lining of a different color so I am using material instead. So far no two have looked alike or been the same size. I guess that can be a good thing. :)

I am not crazy about this jumper but I love the frog applique. It is super cute and will do great for sister/brother outfits or just for a sweet little girl shirt, jumper, bag, etc...
